Every human has a past, present, & future that requires change, endings, transitions or “messy middles”, & new beginnings.
Change, desired or not, stretches normal ways of coping; it challenges the status quo & invites opportunities for growth. The developmental life cycle & your relationships also prompt opportunities for growth. All of these factors contribute to the chapters in the Story of Your Life!
While I am trauma informed, a trauma survivor myself, & work with trauma survivors, I know ALL of us face “stuff” as humans. We all face change, lifespan/developmental cycles, & seek connection in our relationships.
There is a mystery that unfolds as your chapters are written in the Story of Your Life. Some things CHANGE & some stay the same. Some chapters are more joyful & some carry more heartache. Wherever you are in your story, I know that HOW you experience your Self, your RELATIONSHIPS, & the world are central to the quality of your one precious life.

Wherever you are in your story, I know that HOW you experience your Self, your RELATIONSHIPS, & the world are central to the quality of your one precious life.
Your RELATIONSHIP beliefs, needs, & expectations about your Self, “others”, & the world/community are largely influenced by your attachment style. Your history of being cared for influences your beliefs about reaching for support, how to do so, & what it means when your bids for connection are not addressed. Each person you interact with has their own “backstory” of relationship gifts & challenges. So, meeting your relationship goals requires awareness of:
your strengths & growth areas
what’s working & not working (internally & externally)
needed skill development (regulation, balance, communication, conflict resolution)
support (personal, professional, spiritual)
values, purpose, & dreams
inner wounds, conflict, & fears
And that is just your part! Bringing others into the equation makes life more interesting!
Each LIFE CYCLE & CHANGE asks you to bring what you know, hold it lightly, & get comfortable with not knowing again. It begs the question of:
WHO are you, WHAT are you about, & HOW do you choose to BE even in the face of adversity, challenge, change, & opportunity?
How do you re-orient & RESET?
Do you turn towards or away from the human stuff? Do you resist or embrace?
So yes, as a survivor myself, I especially “get” the challenges trauma survivors face – the wounds, unmet needs, burdens, & deficits… & also the superpowers of strength, resilience, & wisdom.
AND I “get” the challenge of simply being HUMAN!
Your story is worth knowing, exploring & supporting.
If you would like support for your chapter (past, present, or future), I hope you reach out to RESET!
